Kim is a spiritual teacher, Reiki Master, clairsentient, clairaudient, and clairvoyant.

She has spent a great deal of time in the Northern Woods, where her family owned two resorts in Rhinelander and Eagle River, WI. When she was little, it was in these towns and with these people that she first experienced her spiritual gifts. It was also where she learned that she comes from a long line of spiritual women in both Europe and the US.

Kim subsequently became immersed in a lifetime spiritual journey seeking ancient and present-day wisdom. She is on a personal quest to live her soul purpose, be fully present, and live courageously as she challenges herself to overcome her fears.

Throughout her life, Kim has spent a great deal of time with people who were about to cross over and leave this world, and she has been deeply affected by these experiences.

Having had many end-of-life conversations and interviews, she has heard what people say right before they die—they discuss what truly matters most in life, and their regrets.

Consequently, her mission is to help people live courageously, pursuing their soul purpose and uncovering their authentic knowing and voice. She is passionate about helping people to become fully present, not wasting a moment of their time here regardless of what is currently going on in their lives, and ultimately leave this world a better place than it was when they arrived.

Kim has a B.S. Degree from UW-Madison and for the last 30 years has been in the executive recruiting and life coaching worlds in Chicago and Madison, WI. During this time, she has continually pursued ongoing professional and spiritual education.

She is an avid student of A Course in Miracles and has worked in hospice care performing energy work and interviewing patients for end-of-life reviews.

But what resonates most with her soul and what has brought her the most joy is creating the Spirit Posse Podcast with Jennifer, Carrie, and Monique.

This is her calling, her life’s purpose, and her legacy. Her desire is to connect with spiritual seekers around the globe to assist them in their spiritual journeys while she works to continually evolve herself—all the while helping the world become a more peaceful and loving place.

Meet Carrie. She lives in Milwaukee with her second-chapter love, Mark. They are official empty nesters. Most days start with a relaxed team effort over coffee in bed to conquer the New York Times Connections puzzle. From there, you will likely find them outside. At fifty-six, Carrie picked up cross-country skiing and cycling, proving that you can teach an old dog new tricks—or at least convince her to wear spandex on a bike, slap on skinny skis, and race down a steep, snowy hill.

A massive part of Carrie’s story and her deep faith was born out of tragic loss. Her late husband suffered a major heart attack while driving, survived the resulting car crash, and went on to survive a heart transplant, only to drown in the Wisconsin River on a literal dark and stormy night. It sounds like a movie script, but it was her reality. To this day, her biggest heartache is the pain this loss caused her kids. They lost a fantastic dad, and the family has had to lean heavily on each other to navigate grief, which Carrie has learned is incredibly sneaky and can still catch you completely off guard even ten years later.

Through it all, Carrie could not be prouder of the family they have built. Her oldest son is happily married, and he and his wonderful wife are currently navigating amazing careers, friendships, and parenthood to the most adorable baby you could ever imagine. Meanwhile, her daughter is engaged, happy, and absolutely killing it both personally and professionally, while always making time for family, friends, and world travel. Carrie is equally obsessed with and proud of her kids and her daughter-in-law, and they amaze her every single day.

Even before her tragic family loss, Carrie has been a gratitude junkie. She is a firm believer that the more you focus on things to “thank about,” the more good things will naturally show up in your life. Her second-chapter survival is living proof of that. Her other major tool for navigating life is her approach to fear. She frequently reminds her kids, her friends, and herself that fear is usually just false events appearing real. We spend way too much time worrying about the what-ifs, and she has found that once you intentionally call fear out for the liar it is, it becomes a whole lot easier to let it go.

When it comes to spirituality, Carrie does not have any certifications. She leans entirely into intuition. She views that inner voice and her emotional radar as direct communication from her guides and protectors; if something doesn’t feel right, she has learned that it usually isn’t right. To get in tune with that voice, she heads outside. Her holy place is the forest, because being out among the trees gives her a calm, comforting, and—no pun intended—completely grounded feeling. She still holds tight to the Holy Spirit aspect of her childhood Catholic upbringing.

Her absolute go-to daily tool is Emmet Fox’s The Golden Key, which invites you to think of your problem, worry, or concern, and then think of and sit with the most pure love you can imagine, then let it go and trust all will work out.

Carrie does not believe in coincidences and is convinced that thoughts have actual, measurable vibrational energy. She sees signs everywhere, from the number 111 to an influx of green cars and perfectly placed feathers. She knows for a fact that we are not walking through this life alone, and that eternal energy is exactly what brought the Spirit Posse together.

Her deepest friendships have grown from this circle, where they have shared the most growth, asked the biggest questions, and learned the most from one another. Carrie has a strong belief that this posse has spent many lifetimes together, and they have reunited in this one to share their spiritual learning, plenty of laughs, and a little light with the world for the greater good.

Ultimately, this website and community are her legacy, first and foremost as a gift to her kids. Long after she is gone, they can choose to have her voice and her advice in their ears for as long as they like, but until then, she feels privileged to share that grounded, real-world magic with the world.

Growing up as the youngest of seven children in a middle-class family, spirituality was never a central focus in my life. Financial survival came first. Although neither of my parents practiced religion in a traditional sense, my mother quietly pursued her own spiritual path through the writings of teachers such as J. Krishnamurti and Emmet Fox. She rarely spoke about those beliefs with me, and sadly, she passed away from breast cancer when I was 26 — long before I began my own spiritual journey.

At 23, I married my high school sweetheart, and together we built careers in the finance industry. Five years later, we welcomed our first son, followed by our second two years later. Raising our boys has been the most meaningful and transformative part of my life. Both were born profoundly deaf and received cochlear implants around the age of two. I chose to step away from my banking career to fully support them as they learned to navigate the hearing world.

When the boys were four and two, I moved with them to St. Louis so they could attend the Moog Center for Deaf Education and focus on developing speech and language skills before entering mainstream public school. During those three years, my husband — who owned his own business — commuted six hours every weekend to be with us. Through it all, he remained my rock, my greatest source of support, and my best friend. Eventually, we returned home, and both boys successfully integrated into our school district, thriving academically and socially. Today, both have graduated from college and built successful careers in finance.

When my sons reached middle school, I returned to my banking career at the age of 41. I vividly remember driving out of the parking garage after work one day and suddenly thinking, “There has to be something more.” I didn’t fully understand what that meant at the time, only that I felt called to explore a deeper connection to something greater than myself.

Over the past 15 years, that inner calling has led me on a profound spiritual journey filled with learning, healing, transformation, faith, and self-discovery.

Along the way, I have been incredibly fortunate to connect with amazing people who have become an important part of my path, especially my Spirit Posse besties. Though we all come from different backgrounds and are at different stages in our journeys, we have grown together by sharing experiences, insights, and practices that have deeply impacted our lives.

Some of the most meaningful moments on my spiritual path have come through connections with gifted mediums, healers, and spiritual teachers who help others access guidance and healing beyond the physical world. I believe each of us is walking a unique path — one filled with obstacles, detours, challenges, and opportunities for growth. I also believe healing becomes possible when we choose to live more fully in the present, remain open to receiving, and release the emotions and beliefs that no longer serve us.

My own healing journey has been greatly supported by a Shamanic healer I’ve worked with over the past several years. That work continues to help me evolve, heal, and better understand myself and the connected universe we all share.

Through the Spirit Posse podcast, I hope to continue sharing my experiences in a way that encourages, inspires, and supports others on their own journeys. I am deeply grateful to have found a spiritual practice and excited to continue exploring, learning, and growing together.

I am proud to say I come from a line of women who find strength in their spiritual life, including those souls who preceded me, and the daughters who came from me! I also never had a sister, and I have been blessed to have so many soul sisters in my female friends, especially this Spirit Posse. Our podcast was created out of a conversation while driving to the Phoenix airport with my daughter, Molly, after a weekend spent in spiritual Sedona. We listened to a female business leader she follows who had a guest on her podcast. They were speaking about her spiritual life influences her work, her entrepreneurial successes, and her most important relationships. And she said, “Mom, this is you and your friends in your Spirit Posse. You should share what you know and the things you talk about through a podcast!” Anyone with kids knows that they are sometimes the mirror of your soul, your greatest joy and your greatest challenge. The older they become, the more they like to tease you about who you are, your funny habits and quirks. But they sometimes know you better than you may know yourself, too, and Molly voiced a message that resonated with me and my Spirit Posse. Embrace the woo-woo, and share it with others! My “woo-woo-ness” has helped me be good at my job as a recruiter, raise community-minded, loving children, and build a good life. Why not see if others are interested in these conversations.

How did I get here? I grew up attending a Catholic grade school in Wisconsin, with a mother who was raised in the conservative Church of Jesus Christ in the western US. She later converted to Catholicism when she married my Midwestern dad, but she was really an early adopter of all things “woo woo” in the 70s and 80s. She opened my mind to the idea that I was a soul having a human experience, one of many lives! It freaked me out when she told me she believed I share the soul of her sister who died in a car accident at 16. Years later, I accept this possibility and have welcomed my aunt into my spiritual circle, alongside my inner child, my guides and angels, and any of my soul aspects!

My mom also taught me that feeling connected to a higher power comes in many forms: that could be by praying, meditating, singing, dancing (part of my daily morning routine), or just standing in awe of the sunrise or sunset.

She and I visited Israel with a group of pastlife regression therapists and prayed with Hasidic Jewish women on the Sabbath. She brought me along when she was “born again” in the shallow waters of Lake Michigan at a cold dawn. We sat under the stars looking for UFOs, and decided that the idea of extraplanetary souls among us was something of a mind-bender, though plausible. We wondered together about how traditional education and this three-dimensional world will serve the next generation of higher evolved souls who have come here to help us learn.

I still enjoy reciting my Catholic prayers, AND I also talk to my plants, and to spirits who are on the other side of the veil. I find my exploration of all things spiritual helps me feel this higher power in everything around us; it’s rooted in love and responds to many different names, but most importantly, it speaks to our hearts, however that communication happens.

Fast forward through a well-lived life, thanks to this early understanding of the connectedness we share as souls having a human experience. I have been married for 35 years to a great, kind man on his own crazy spiritual journey, raised three kids with him, and started and run three small businesses. I have been challenged over the years by my Irish temper, that darn cell phone that pulls at efforts to stay present, health and money worries, and my loud inner critic. I believe I/we all face these kinds of experiences as an opportunity to practice our spiritual alignment every day. A spiritual life is a “practice” I don’t think I will ever perfect, but I believe my authentic path is trying to stay in alignment, alongside others, in a state of presence, laughter, and love
